Lesson Price:

$50 per one hour of Instruction

$75 per one and a half hours of Instruction
Special Discounts:
For recurring clients taking at least two 1.5 hour lessons per week, I can offer a price each month for $125 per 3 hours.
I welcome more than one person. We can discuss a discount for the second pupil.
It ends up being far less expensive than my comparably qualified competitors who charge $80- $120/hour per student for private lessons.
Lesson format:
Lessons are custom to your needs and will take place at your home in Escondido or at a café in Escondido. We can work on your homework and practice conversation. And I provide unique lessons for your interests. We can make grammar fun together. I can correct your term papers with you. If you are an unaffiliated student, I can create individual curriculum for you.
What you will need:
For all cases, I recommend a (pocket) dictionary. We can work on any assignments and from any language or literature book you may have. And/or I have inexpensive book suggestions depending on your level. Also it is fun to target specific content from a variety of texts I have on hand, if you have a copy machine. And it helps me send my custom lesson plans and assignments to you in advance of the session if you can print Microsoft word documents from an email or my flash drive (both PDF options). And/or have it ready to open on your laptop. Be ready to take notes.
How to Pay:
You can pay $50 by the hour for individual lessons. You may pay ahead for the weeks or by the month to receive discounts. Please pay for all scheduled lessons via check or cash. I accept bonuses in addition to advance payments.

What if I am starting from scratch?
If you have never had French before, learning conversational French is realistic. If you are looking to use your French to travel, I can help. If your goal is to be fluent, it will take longer and require more of you. It may help you to take your lessons from me with another person, so you can collaborate and practice conversation. You can be at different levels. However, another person is not necessary. If you are ready to commit to learning French, let’s discuss your desired goals and I can make you custom lesson plans.
How many lessons does it take to learn French?
That really depends on the person, your existing level of French, and how fluent you would like to become. I cannot promise you will be at your goal after any specific number of lessons, as everyone’s goals, starting level, and background are unique. Instead, we will make a customized plan based on your starting level and what you would like to achieve with our lessons. The more immersed you are, the better the results.
How often do I need to take lessons?
If you want help with your homework, assignments, or papers, I welcome students by the hour or by the week. Whether you are already taking a course or want to learn from scratch, you will get the most accelerated results with at least two one and a half hours sessions per week with me long term. I can also help better prepare you to travel with your French. If you are looking for private lessons, you have found the right place.
